Chapters 6 & 7 now what...

She's got to be thinking " you've got to be kidding" .  After waiting.. ok and leaving the garage door intact along with the Kingdom of Krap, now she's not even gonna get to go to Costa Rica????? 
She's exposed herself to the neighbor....  what else could happen..
She lives on a deadend.. hopeless, that's how she feels.. 
With Lucky in the hospital... she chain smokes in the back yard, not hiding..  out in the open..  what the hell, most everyone has already seen her naked... 
She's going thru the motions.. because when things like this happen.. that is what you do
You do what needs to be done, what you feel you should do... that's what women do, we pick up the pieces, we are the ones you can count on... 
Addy doesn't really feel like she wants to continue on like this.  
Thank goodness she has friends..  Roses from her friends...  and a note..
she does need to spend time with her friends.
It's something we tend to forget, focus on the patient.. but what about the person who is picking up all the slack.. it's exhausting physically and emotionally. 
This is really a reason to make sure when you marry you keep up your friendships.  Your friends are the ones who are there for you in times of need.

Searching for Paradise in Parker PA Chapter 5

Lets get with Chapter 5 and the anticipation.....
I don't know about you, but as i look out at the piles of snow that will undoubtedly be hanging around until at least June as they are now frozen solid with at least 2 inches of ice, I would give my eye teeth to go to Costa Rica. 
I don't understand why Addy takes so long to get ready to leave.  She seems like a pretty have it together, anticipate everyone's needs kind of person.  She wanted to go so badly.  Was she subconsciously delaying with getting ready so that if they missed the flight she could be the "see bad things always happen to me ... or
I never get to do anything good"  type person.  Someone that everyone felt sorry for...  the perpetual martyr. 

Lucky was so into trying to do something nice for Addy, I bet he was confused that she wasn't ready and waiting at the curb. 

Wow, how this chapter turned their lives upside down..  It was like the last bit of soda added to the glass of ice cubes and it just started flowing all over the edges and became a huge sticky mess..

Welcome to the Book Club ....
Searching for Paradise in Parker Pa by Kris Radish was recommended by someone who has read many of her books.  I have to admit, I have spent the last years concentrating on personal developement and instructional books.  So now, back to reading for pleasure. 

I hope that you will read along and comment too.  Let us all use this blog as an onlne book club get together.  It should be fun

Addy finds herself poised at a point in time that many of us have gone thru (sometimes more than once) where there is a resestlessness that we just can't really put a finger on.  We're not sure how all of a sudden we got to this place.... althoug we know it didn't happen overnight, it somehow snuck up on us.  Kind of like "a blanket party", you know .. one moment your just there and the next it's like a blanket has covered you and you are totally disoriented, and can't seem to fight your way out from underneath. 

The garage  or Kingdom of Krap as it is affectionately called, lures her, as though it is taunting her.  She longs to drive her car thru the Kingdom to somehow make things better.  Just as she has gotten so much closer to losing control, the Kingdom is given a second life by the apprearance of her husband Lucky who has won a trip to Costa Rica.  Perhaps just what Addy needed to repair the comotose marriage she finds herself in.

Ah... Costa Rica....  this is the answer...
